Nicole Franks
Speech Therapist MS, CCC-SLP
I received my Master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders with a concentration in speech-language pathology from Mercy College in 2020. In addition, I have a certificate in clinical competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I currently hold a license in the state of New Jersey and Florida in speech-language pathology. In addition to working at The Village Therapy Place, I work in the school system as a school-based speech-language specialist.
I have former experience in the pediatric medical field from Blythedale Children’s Hospital and the outpatient pediatric setting. I have evaluated and treated a diverse population of pediatric and adolescent clients. I have experience in expressive and receptive language, pragmatic (social) skills, augmentative and alternative communication devices (AAC), articulation and phonology, fluency, and behavioral/sensory feeding.
I am passionate about what I do and believe that communication is a human right. I see every child for their individual strengths and needs. This drives me to create meaningful and functional speech, language, and feeding goals. I believe speech therapy should be a fun safe place for all children.
